We are trialling this forum for one month after which we will decide whether to make permanent or not.
Visitors to The Pink are now consistently above 15,000 per month so the level of interest would suggest a dedicated grassroots football forum might be of interest.
Registration is free and simple and will only take a few seconds of your time.
Over to you and thanks for your ongoing support and messages over the past season.

Hey, Im glad there is finally a forum on this site. Its a very popular site which is used by a wide variety of people so this should lead to some interesting points. Lets hope alot of people sign up and that it is used for the purpose which it is meant.

I think it is a good way of all the football teams to speak to each other including players from different teams.
Well Done....

A welcomed addition to the site. Perhaps giving it longer than a 1 month trial may be of use though, seeing as we are in the off seson & site traffic will undoubtedly be somewhat reduced during this period?!

I hope that referees are allowed to join in the discussions too?

A forum is a very good focal point for a website, but it does bring its problems a couple of wee tips, disable user activation and make it administrator activation as if you allow user activation you will gradually get inundated with spam (usually porn, viagra etc etc) also if the company that hosts your website supports mysql and php then there are lots of free (not advert supported) open source forums out there, so you wont really need to worry about your free one months trial.
At wlayfc.org we have been running a forum for a few years now http://www.wlayfc.org/forum/index.php and have learnt from our mistakes and can honestly say that we have not had any unwanted spammers posts for years now, as with any forum and more so ones that cover youth football it is very important that none get posted.
At present we get over 3000 hits on the forum per day and during the season that can go up to 20,000 a day, and up until our recent upgrade (and restart) it took 3 administrators to keep it clear, but now it is virtually self administering and the only work is the administration of users.
good luck with your messageboard and many happy postings.
Oh aye and another tip ......dont allow referees
