Our season had just finished (1 week in May to go) our players still registered but already teams are poaching players.
This is kids football could they not wait till the season is completed. Yes players will move, but to be pressured to move is a different story.

It is only outwith the rules to directly approach a player during the season, up to and including 31st May. However, the rules do not cover approaching the parents of a player, and that is how most clubs, who know the rules, will behave. The problem for the team losing a player is two-fold: firstly they have to prove that a player was 'tapped', and secondly the player is hardly likely to admit that they were approached directly if they want to stay with their new team.
The youth football rules allow other clubs to approach players who have not yet re-signed for their current team anytime after the 1st June. What is not allowed is for another team to trial (play) a player who is still registered with their current team (until 30th June, when the registration then lapses), or allow them to train before 1st July.
The rules are based on the SFA Player Registration system, which may, or may not be appropriate for youth footballers. That depends on whether you are gaining or losing players!
Naming and shaming clubs would be a long process, and you would have to be able to prove that they had broken the rules, otherwise it could seriously backfire on you.

I agree and to name and shame would be like sour grapes.
I just hope that the teams who do poach take on board that the kids are only kids.

I really think its shocking that adults can actully go upto a kid of 12 or 13 and try to twist there arm into going to there club or even have the nerv to phone or contact the parent.
I think you should make a complaint about the club in question.

Would do but the only people that will get hurt are the kids.

What does not help is when an ex coach is pointing out players and also has the b*** to want kids he has already dumped in the past.

Some of the teams put glory before enjoyment. Its been like that for years and it won,t change you just have to get on with it.
We are now starting to rebuild but cos we are not in the top league its harder to attract players, but we will keep trying.

So far so good but we have only been going a year, but not had that yet...if I found out I did have a kid that was signed I would ask him to leave and go and think about what he wants to do...
